Course Name: Performance Critiques
Class Name: Two 2/4 Marches and a Mach Variations
Class Instructor: Andrew Douglas
Date of Original Live Class: April 3rd, 2012 at 5:30pm

Description: In this class, two students present their 2/4 marches on practice chanter for the class. John, a Grade 2 level player, played John MacDonald of Glencoe extremely well. We simply worked on some E doubling control issues to help him tweak the tune to a slightly higher standard. Avery presented the Atholl and Breadalbine gathering, which also had a few E doublings from F that were not clean. We went through the mechanics of opening that up. Lastly, J David asked how his "a mach" variations could be improved, within the tune "The Desperate Battle"
