Bagpipers will often use corks to stop the airflow through a certain drone(s) or through the chanter. Corks typically are seen in two sizes. The first size would fit in the drone tops; used to shut off a single drone. "Stock Corks" are bigger, and are used to completely stop the air moving through a stock. You'll use stock corks a lot during the seasoning process.
