In this class we discuss doubling execution from the standpoint of grace note size and sync, and how some of the common "bad sounding" doublings can be traced back to either of these more fundamental problems. We discuss the proper size of grace notes as a review, and walk through how to incorporate them into a consistently executed and musical doubling movement.

This ranges from pre-requisites- where you should be in your piping before moving to the pipes- to what to look for when getting in the market for a set of pipes, to where to start once you're ready to get going on them.

In this class, we discuss again some tactics for choosing the right tune for you! Less focused on how to bring tunes together in a set than the MSR class, this session focuses on identifying personal weaknesses, and choosing tunes that give you exposure to them in context for fundamental development. Likewise, we also talk about identifying your strengths, so you can be sure that your next competition tune will also contain plenty of elements that you already excel at, creating a balance of challenges and strengths.
