D Throw (Light)

D Throw (Light)

This is a three step "Low G Oriented" embellishment found commonly in light music tunes, and in Piobaireachd.

The Steps

  • This is a Low G Oriented embellishment, that should produce a melodic, "smooth" sound when executed properly.
  • There are two commonly accpeted ways to play the D Throw. The other method is the "Heavy" D Throw.
  • The movement should produce three even "sounds" or "syllables."
  • If coming from the note Low G, simply omit step 1 of the throw.
