Bubbly Note

A four-step embellishment (synonymous with the "Darodo"). Steps: Coming from B or C, (1) Play Low G, (2) D Gracenote on Low G, (3) C Gracenote on Low G, (4) Play B.

This is a four step "Low G Oriented" embellishment found occasionally in light music tunes, and regularly in Piobaireachd.

The Steps

  • This is a Low G Oriented embellishment, that should produce a low, "bubbly" sound when executed properly.
  • The movement should produce four even "sounds" or "syllables."
  • While most commonly heard from C and B, you can also play a bubbly from Low A and Low G (if Low G, omit step 1).
