Help Session - Bagpipe Prep for Competition - #10 [Vintage]

Course Name: Help Session
Class Name: Bagpipe Prep for Competition
Class Instructor: Marc Dubois
Date of Original Live Class: May 8th, 2012 at 8:30pm

Description: In this session we help a piper getting their pipe together for a solo competition on the weekend. Drone calibration is key to a steady efficient sound. After some small chanter tape changes a nice full sound is achieved. We also discuss theories about on-the-day practice times, effects on weather and warm up, etc. We also go over a bands march medley in preparation for an upcoming contest. We discuss refinement of sound, consistent treatment of rhythms, proper insertion of technique on the beat.
