Description: In this open session, we go over the first three parts of Captain Norman Orr Ewing that a dojo student had prepared from the last repitoire expansion session. We discuss the finer points of the birl, go over fusion of the short note into the following beats technique, and the pitfalls of the f doubling. We finish with trying to squeeze a bit more pulse out of the tune - just gotta make sure we take what we give!

Marc Dubois Marc is an experienced pipe band leader and bagpipe judge from the Northeast USA. He spent many years with the Oran Mor Pipe Band as a piper and as a bass drummer, and thus has a extensive background on the topic of pipe band ensemble. He's currently the Pipe Major of the Schenectady Pipe Band.
