Technical Development - Idiom Exploration - Reels #1 [Vintage]

In this opening of a 4 part series of Idiom exploration - we take a look a reel playing. We start with dot-cut reels. We start with a detailed investigation of the ALAP/ASAP principles and how the short note can takes us from idiom to idiom. Next we narrow in on how the short note is treated in the dot-cut reel idiom and how pulse adds to the overall musicality of the tune. Covered all or in part are the Ale is Dear, Charms of Whiskey, and the High Road to Linton. Next week - a couple four-parters for the competition boards.
