Rantin' Rovin' Robin - First Part (Tune Building)

Here's a fun little 2 part March. Let's Build it up!

How to use Tune Building Posts: Below, you'll see various 'practice pods' that loop automatically, so you can practice along and develop the tune properly. For the full story on the Tune Building Process, click here.

Bar 1:

Make sure you are playing nicly on the metronome. Don't start the Birl or E Doubling ahead of the off beat.

Bar 2:

Watch for Sync errors to the C DBL and don't start the Grip ahead of the beat. Remember it's the first Low G that's on the beat.

Phrase 1:

Don't rush or fall behind. Settle into a nice groove

Bar 3:

Recycled Material: We've seen this material before, earlier in the tune! So, there's no need to learn this bit again (as long as you did a good job the first time around!)

Same as bar 1

Bar 4:

Just because it's easy, make sure you are perfectly on the beat.

Phrase 2:

Make sure you stay in control and you are right with the click of the metronome.

Line 1:

Focus on the steady click of your metronome.

Bar 5:

Now the tune changes pace. Make sure you have good Dot-Cut rhythm and good short note fusion into the C Doubling.

Bar 6:

This is a hard bar, don't move on until it correct!

Phrase 3:

Work to articulate everything.

Ending Phrase:

We'll try the whole ending phrase but make sure bar 7 is correct!

Line 2:

Find your groove.

Whole Part (1st Time):

Keep everything nice and steady and fall into that groove.
