In this class Rob discusses phrasing of the 2/4 March idiom. By using the specific example of The Conundrum and The 79th Farewell to Gibraltar, Rob uses his Cut and Snap approach to produce a musical and lively tune! He extends the class with Irene Melbanks Welcome to Bon Accord and Haughes of Cromdale. This lively class is packed full of great 2/4 expression and phrasing!
This class covers a very small but super important section of the Haughs of Cromdale. There are three back-to-back D-throws, and we (with brave help from members of the studio audience) work to break them down and systematically develop them.
This class is a great training grounds for a LOT of Dojo fundamentals, so we continue to take our time going through parts 1 and two. We spend some time going through the specifics of ALAP/ASAP, and we show just how big of an impact this fundamental will play in the success of this tune.
This is a great, very accessible tune that is perfect for getting going in the solo competition realm. However, with that said - there are still tons of fundamental things here that will require A LOT of focus!
